Keith Allen Pintar - Founder/Director Story
Keith Allen Pintar was born and raised in Miami, Florida, into a family steeped in music and show business. His mother, Marie, was the second violinist for the Miami Beach Philharmonic, performing for stars like Sammy Davis Jr., Diana Ross, and Bobby Darin. His father, Frank, was a radio announcer and impressionist, active in New York, California, and Chicago.
Tragedy struck when Keith was 11; his mother died suddenly from complications related to multiple sclerosis. This event profoundly impacted him, leading to early struggles with drugs and alcohol as a form of escape. Despite this, Keith's passion for music drove him to pursue the dream of becoming a rock star. His band attracted serious interest from record labels and opened for well-known '80s bands like Cheap Trick, Joe Satriani, and Great White. During this time, Keith also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University and Franklin University.
Despite his success in the music business with Capitol Records, Keith found himself feeling empty and unhappy, eventually becoming suicidal. In 1990, at the urging of his Christian stepmother, Elisabeth, Keith entered a Christian Rehabilitation Program in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was there that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. After completing the program, Keith stayed on as a counselor for six months.
Following his rehabilitation, Keith decided to settle in Fort Lauderdale. He soon joined Youth For Christ as a local missionary, where he ministered to broken and desperate teens through music, testimony, and Bible studies. Many of these teens came to know Christ through his efforts. It was also at Youth For Christ that Keith met his future wife, Christy.
Keith then served as Youth Pastor at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale under Pastor Stephan Tchvidjian, the eldest grandson of Reverend Billy Graham. He also played in the church's worship band, sometimes leading worship and co-hosting a local radio show. During this period, Keith recorded his first CD music project, "Take It To The World," which received local and national radio play. His wife, Christy, joined him in ministry, and under their leadership, the youth group grew to around 400 students.
Later, Keith felt called to move to Colorado Springs, CO, where he joined the staff at Rocky Mountain Calvary as Assistant Pastor and Assistant Worship Leader. He signed with the Calvary Chapel Music record label and released his second CD, "Solid Ground." The project featured accomplished musicians like Dennis Holt and Darrell Mansfield. Keith opened major concerts for well-known Christian artists such as The Newsboys and Phil Keaggy.
After several fruitful years in Colorado, Keith responded to another calling and moved his family to Jacksonville, Florida, to plant Calvary Chapel Jacksonville. For 22 years, he served as Senior Pastor, faithfully teaching the word of God, leading worship, recording three more CD music projects, and engaging in extensive evangelism. His testimonial video, "Glitter To Glory", was broadcast globally on Pat Robertson's 700 Club, leading hundreds to Christ. The video can be viewed at the bottom of this page.
In 2010, Keith had the honor of meeting Reverend Billy Graham in Jacksonville, a life-changing experience. Dr. Graham encouraged Keith to continue evangelistic work alongside his pastoral duties. Eleven years later, this advice came to fruition with the founding of First Coast Outreach Ministries (FCOM) in 2021.
As Founder and Director of FCOM, Keith is passionate about spreading the Good News and leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This is accomplished throughout Jacksonville, using his gifts of music, evangelism, and Bible teaching. Over the past several years, Keith and FCOM's numerous volunteers from various churches have been blessed to witness hundreds come to know Christ through FCOM's efforts. The ministry serves in Rehabilitation Centers, Prisons, Homeless Ministries, School Chapel Services, and Assisted Living Facilities, and also hosts major evangelistic outreaches in Jacksonville.
In addition to his local work, Keith travels regularly, ministering at various churches and ministries worldwide, leading worship, teaching, sharing his testimony, and conducting evangelism workshops. He also serves as a Billy Graham Rapid Response Team Chaplain and has worked with Samaritans Purse and The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Keith and his wife, Christy, have been married for 31 years and have three married sons and five grandchildren. They prioritize family time and enjoy traveling, hiking, and many other adventures together. Keith's love of music continues to inspire him, as he records projects aimed at encouraging and uplifting future generations.
